Cosmo Eco Power Concludes Virtual PPA with Murata~Harnessing Power from the Oita and Chuki Wind Farms to Cut Annual CO₂ Emissions by 13,700 Tons~

Cosmo Eco Power Co., Ltd. (hereafter, “Cosmo Eco Power”), a subsidiary of Cosmo Energy Holdings Co., Ltd., is pleased to announce that it has entered into a virtual Power Purchase Agreement¹ (PPA; hereafter, “the PPA”) with Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereafter, “Murata”), effective January 14, 2026.

Under the PPA, Murata will receive the environmental value with additionality² of electricity generated by Cosmo Eco Power's Oita and Chuki wind farms, which began commercial operations in April 2023 and April 2021, respectively, in the form of non-fossil certificates. As a result, Murata is projected to achieve an annual CO₂ emissions reduction of approximately 13,700 tons.

As a member of the Cosmo Energy Group, Cosmo Eco Power is working to expand the supply of renewable energy, with a focus on wind power generation, in order to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Going forward, it remains committed to strengthening cooperation with customers pursuing decarbonization, while contributing to the wider adoption of renewable energy and the development of local communities.
