Strengthening our organizational structure for driving AX
Effective April 2026, the Corporate DX Strategy Department was renamed the AX Strategy Department. The AX Strategy Department works closely with the IT Initiative Department, which is responsible for developing IT systems and establishing IT governance, to advance our AX strategy across the Group.

Core Talent in AI and Digital Technologies
Developing talent to lead group-wide AX
Under the Seventh Medium-Term Management Plan, we promoted the cultivation of core digital personnel and certified 1,194 employees. Building on this foundation, under the Eighth Medium-Term Management Plan, we will expand our talent base to include new roles and competency levels to meet the needs of the AI and digital era, such as systems specialists and experts in project management and cybersecurity. At the same time, we will enhance the AI skills of our entire workforce and strengthen the development of core talent in AI and digital technologies to lead AI adoption throughout the Group, aiming to develop 1,300 such professionals and certify a cumulative total of 2,000.
Digital Leads
Spearheading AI adoption and governance within their own organization
To advance the use of AI at the organizational level, we have appointed a Digital Lead in each department across major group companies. Digital Leads are expected to acquire expertise in cybersecurity and data engineering as core talent in AI and digital technologies. They are responsible for:
1.Leading citizen development of AI solutions to drive operational improvements;
2.Promoting AI and data governance; and
3.Serving as a primary liaison with the AX and IT departments.
